Instrumental Music Instructor

**About the Position**

Girton Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic Music Instructor to provide specialised piano music instruction to students.

**This is a full-time, fixed-term leave replacement position starting in January 2026 and finishing in April 2026.**This position is required during term times only.**Why Join Us?**

**Key Selection Criteria / Essential Qualifications and Skills**
- Demonstrated proficiency in playing and teaching the piano.
- Prior experience teaching instrumental music to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Working with Children Check (Employee).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Knowledge of music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Organisational and time management skills to effectively plan,
- A passion for music education and a dedication to nurturing the musical talents of young musicians.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for all students with an understanding of appropriate behaviours when working with children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
