Allocator/merchandise Assistant

**The Role**:
- Reporting directly to the Retail Operations Manager, the Allocator will be responsible for leading product range cadence & stock sufficiency across all stores. The role is responsible for allocating new stock out to stores to ensure their arrival for each new season and, through each collection, ensure all stock is replenished in order to maximise sales.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Collaborating with Customer Service to solve delivery and receiving issues by working with the buyers, distribution centres and stores to ensure proper inventory is allocated to stores.
- Execute the release of merchandise inventory from the distribution centres to supply stores for retail sales.
- Develop allocation strategies for specific plan levels and execute physical allocations.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on sales trend, forecast and store size.
- Collaborate with the buying team and distribution centres on incoming and outgoing merchandise deals.
- Own all inventory processes for Moorabbin Outlet store.
- Create rolling gross and category specific open to buy plans based on store revenue forecasts.
- With support of Merchandisers and Brand Commercial Managers, create assortments that balance Amer Sports Australia’s need to exit aged inventory as well as range and commercial needs of the store.
- Place free market buys, on an as needed basis, to supplement aged inventory flows to the outlet.
**Skills and Experience**:
- A minimum 2+ years of retail experience in merchandising, buying or distribution
- Outdoor and/or sport experience preferred or fashion experience is also highly regarded
- Proficient knowledge of a retail environment and of the retail industry
- An understanding of how the consumer operates in an Omni channel environment
- Efficient analytical and problem-solving skills, management ability and business acumen
- Good knowledge in data management and analysis with excellent numerical skills
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
