**FACILITIES MAINTENANCE **TRADES PERSON**

The Bloomfield Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Tradesperson to manage and undertake the day to day facilities maintenance requirements of our sites.

This is a full-time permanent position paying a minimum of $44,71 p/h, with excellent flexible work options available.

The Bloomfield Group operates two open-cut coal mines in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. These operations are our Rix’s Creek Mine northwest of Singleton, and our Bloomfield Mine east of Maitland. Coal from the Rix’s Creek Mine and Bloomfield Mine is railed to the Port of Newcastle, and loaded onto ships using Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS). Bloomfield is a founding member and shareholder of PWCS. Kings Engineering - a leading NSW Engineering business - is also operated by the group.

**About the role**

The Bloomfield Group is seeking to appoint a Facilities Maintenance Tradesperson to manage and undertake the day to day facilities maintenance requirements of our sites. This role will be based at our Ashtonfield location however may be required to travel to other sites from time to time. Reporting to the Site Manager, the successful person will provide facilities repair and maintenance support for our our sites. Your main tasks will include but not be limited to:

- General building maintenance
- Basic plumbing duties
- Concreting including formwork
- Painting
- Small/Medium tiling works
- Operation of small machinery

**_Key Responsibilities_**
- Ensure a high standard of facilities maintenance at The Bloomfield Group sites
- Carry out repairs safely and in a timely manner
- Assist with supervision of external contractors as required
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently in line with operational systems and processes
- Commitment to working safely and sound understanding or risk management practices
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Trade qualified carpenter (or similar)
- Current C-Class Drivers licence
- WorkCover High Risk Forklift Licence - Desirable
- EWP Licence - Desirable
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence - Desirable
- Dogging/Crane - Desirable
- High focus on customer service
- Ability to work autonomously and to meet strict deadlines
- A team-oriented approach to achievement of tasks
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
