**About the Commission**

The **Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission)**is an independent statutory body with responsibilities under Victoria's key human rights laws - the _Equal Opportunity Act 2010_, the _Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001,_ the _Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006_ and the _Change and Suppression Practice Prohibition Act 2021_.

**About the Role**

A key component of the role is to prepare detailed correspondence notifying clients of the decision of the Head of Dispute Resolution and Enquiries whether their complaint is accepted for dispute resolution or further information is required.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Knowledge and understanding of Victoria's key human rights laws or demonstrated ability to obtain this quickly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communications according to audience and/or audience preference.

**Qualifications**
- Highly desirable:Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and its legislation or capacity to quickly gain this knowledge.
