As the IT Area Lead, you will be responsible for defining the Tribe’s Technology strategy and direction. You will lead the delivery teams, via the successful delivery of projects and programs, working closely with Architecture and Business teams on defining the strategic roadmap for the future. In this position, you will partner with the Tribe Lead(s) in the leadership of the Tribe to ensure the delivery of technology solutions required for the success of the Tribe as a whole. As the IT Area Lead, you will drive the innovation and capability of the tribe, leading a technical delivery team both on-shore and off-shore to help shape ING Australia’s technology strategy.

**What You’ll Do**
- Take E2E responsibility for how Delivery is done for all change in the tribe (from IT to business)
- Ensure software change is implemented in accordance with quality standards to ensure security, resilience and availability
- Facilitate in leading cross-functional teams with IT architects, business experts, and engineers to ensure high level business epics are translated into backlog items for scrum teams
- Partner with the Tribe Lead to develop a Tribe Strategy that satisfies all requirements aligned to tribe purpose and ING’s strategy
- Build and further optimise the tribe, making sure all roles and people work to maximum efficiency and effectively together

**What We’re Looking For**
- Strong technical expertise - you will have demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership in large engineering teams and in Delivery
- Demonstrated experience working with Technology Risk Frameworks
- Proven experience in banking / investment technology strategy development and execution in alignment with architecture and other IT functions.
- Experience with working with Agile and DevOps delivery
- Experience managing a team of at least 50 team members, both on-shore and off-shore
- Experience with contact centre technologies advantageous
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability at an executive level
