Postdoctoral Research Fellow

**(Level A) $78,544 - $105,611 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.**

**Fixed term, full time position available for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance.**

The postdoc research fellow will focus on bubble flow experiments related to reactor design. Key responsibilities include commissioning an isothermal bubble flow rig (currently under manufacture), designing and conducting experiments using optical diagnostic techniques, analysing data, and preparing research outcome reports. Depending on your expertise, you may also contribute to sample characterisation and CFD modelling as part of a collaborative team. This position offers the chance to engage in innovative research, contribute to impactful projects (e.g., particle-laden flows), and grow professionally within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

**To be successful, you will need**:

- A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct experiments in fluid systems, preferably optical diagnostics in bubble or particle-laden flows
- Experience in designing and commissioning lab-scale experimental reactors or isothermal simulators.
- A strong publication record in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in the field of thermal fluids.
