Great opportunity with an Australian freight forwarder$70-75K + super - immediate start **Your new company** Join a global freight forwarding business in their freight operation team based at the Perth Airport. **Your new role** In your new role as Freight Forwarder, you’ll support day-to-day operations in the sea & air freight department, this includes: - Taking the lead on invoicing, transport bookings, customer requests and ensuring relevant documentation is completed. - Building strong relationships with customers and transport providers. - Ensuring shipment data is inputted promptly and correctly, making sure bookings are lodged with transport providers, and followed up with ETA and confirmed arrival reports for customers. - Respond to general enquiries for export booking queries and close the enquiry - Liaise with operations for planned and unplanned change - Provide new sales or trade leads to the sales team - Obtain acceptance of additional service fees from customers prior to authorising the requested service - Management of day-to-day sea freight operations, including client liaison, tracking of shipments, and communicating ETA changes to customers. - Arrangement of wharf transport, compiling reports on key metrics for presentation for the wider business and liaising with key players internal and external globally **What you'll need to succeed** - Valid Drivers licence - Previous experience within the freight forwarding industry, with understanding of relevant procedures and documentation.. - Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. - Good understanding of import/export sea freight and potentially air freight - Strong systems skills, with intermediate MS Excel and Cargowise experience. - Ability to build team relationships for problem resolution, and team success - Strong numerical and literacy skills and the ability to think laterally to solve complex problems - Willingness to learn new skills - Great attention to detail **What you'll get in return** *** You’ll join a close-knit team in a great business on a permanent basis, with opportunity to further your career in logistics, working Monday to Friday.
