About the role
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies). This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support to the First Nations Holistic Wellbeing Service located in the Preventative Integrated Care Service within the Preventative Health Division.
About you
- Advanced clinical knowledge in the area of the chronic condition management delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
- Ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive workplace culture through role-modelling well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, engaging professionally with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors.
- Ability to prioritise clinical and related administrative duties, including effective and efficient planning and organisation of complex caseloads with proven ability to use Virtual Care, digital health/information and reporting systems appropriate to the position.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families and communities to maintain a positive workplace culture through well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
