User experience Designer | Permanent Role | Kew
In this role you'll be responsible for researching, conceptualizing, testing and ultimately creating and delivering amazing user experiences across a variety of channels and contexts. You'll be assisting on special projects and initiatives in addition to the day-to-day UX activities.
Responsibilities will include;
- Problem discovery, determine what is it our users actually need by wholistically understanding the domain and our customers pain points.
- Perform UI and UX design of initiatives and experiences, working closely with the UX Manager, Product Owners and an Agile delivery team during ideation and eventual implementation of a feature or capability.
- Engage with the business, our customers, and users to gain a real awareness of feedback, sentiment, to maximise the impact of future releases of our products and services.

What experience do I have?
- 1-3 years' experience in designing and delivering low to hi-fidelity wireframes and mock-ups.
- A firm grasp of accessibility, responsive design, native standards, common UI patterns and usability best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate ideas and design decisions to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Be comfortable working in a cross-functional team, understanding the balance between user needs, business objectives and technical considerations.
- Demonstrated customer-centric mindset; building a user experience with the customer in mind at every step of the journey.
- Be an experienced user of key design tools such as Figma
