A rare permanent opportunity has become available to join our Governance and Board Secretary Division as the Manager, Corporate Governance.
Reporting directly to the Director Governance, the Manager Corporate Governance ensures the VBA's corporate governance is conducted with integrity, transparency and ethical best practice.
- Supporting and advising the Director Governance and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the VBA's compliance with governance requirements and reporting obligations as outlined in relevant legislation, regulation and government policy;
- Assisting the Director Governance with maintaining and improving the governance processes and structures of the VBA;
- Liaising widely across portfolio departments, government and industry to identify best practice guidelines and make recommendations on appropriate organisational improvements to governance arrangements within the VBA;
- Providing business support to the VBA Board and its Committees as required; and
- Supporting the VBA's strategic direction as a knowledge-led organisation, striving to bring people and thinking together, educate and deliver evidence-based solutions for our workforce, consumers, industry and government.

**What we are looking for**:

- Extensive experience providing authoritative advice to senior management and Board directors, including the formulation of recommendations, action plans and strategic responses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports, project briefings, presentations and recommendations on broad and complex issues.
