**Position Purpose**

The key purpose of this role is to coordinate incoming deliveries for the School of Veterinary
Medicine and provide support to the Hospital Supply Assistant.

Murdoch University is home to the only Veterinary College in Western Australia, and its
prestigious teaching hospital provides the clinical facility that enables students to have the
clinical ‘hands-on’ opportunity. It also provides a service to community through its team of
top specialists who oversee the care and treatment of all animals referred to the hospital.

The Animal Hospital At Murdoch University (TAHMU) aims to provide an environment where
high professional and clinical standards, based on available scientific evidence, are

**Key Responsibilities/Duties
1. Accept, record and disseminate incoming deliveries for The Animal Hospital and the
School of Veterinary Medicine.

2. Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance for TAHMU including the dispatch,
receipting and return of equipment to relevant departments.

3. Assist with weekly purchasing and data entry requirements including the ordering of
consumables, cross-checking invoices/delivery dockets and approving invoices for
payment.

4. Assist with the unpacking of orders, preparation of orders, re-stocking of shelves and
accurately transferring consumables within the hospital computer system.

5. Assist with the stock transfer of consumables in the hospital computer system. Assist
with annual stock take for TAHMU as required.

6. Accurately maintain the Asset Register for TAHMU.

7. Assist Hospital Management staff with the review, development and implementation
of TAHMU policies, procedures, and guidelines.

8. Provide relief for administration staff within The Animal Hospital as requested by
Hospital Management.

9. Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of specified University software packages

10. Undertake reasonable tasks that may fall outside this position description when
requested by a supervisor or Hospital Management.

11. Comply with all University and Hospital policies, procedures and protocols and relevant
Veterinary industry Acts and Regulations.
