Student Events Advisor

Overview:
- Part-time (0.8 FTE / 28.8 hours per week), Fixed Term position until April 2025-
- Salary Level HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation-
- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working- About the role
- As Student Events Advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating key student events (on-campus at city, Brunswick and Bundoora) such as Orientation/Welcome Days, Club days, and smaller events throughout the year. This includes event planning and design, supervision of event suppliers and workforce (student volunteers and casuals), with a strong focus on student event governance, health & safety.

To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of the planning, delivery and evaluation of events and experiences.-
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.-
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish, maintain and work effectively with a range of stakeholders from student to corporate partners.-
- Evidence of project management skills including budget and financial management, policy, time management, health & safety compliance.-
- Evidence of strong stakeholder and people management skills.-
- Experience in working accurately with detailed information and providing high-level administrative support in a university environment or similar large and complex organisation.About the Group
