**What You Can Expect in this Role**:
As our Cybersecurity Risk Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the Office of Industrial Relations' (OIR) information assets.
You will be part of a small dynamic team that includes technical staff who rely on your expertise to identify and detail cyber risks.
Your accurate risk assessments will enable the implementation of appropriate controls, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.
You will work autonomously to provide cybersecurity risk leadership to teams within the Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS), Business and Corporate Services directorate, and the broader OIR business community.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of OIR's digital and information risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with Queensland Government regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the coordination of digital and ICT audit and assurance functions, including discovery, reporting, and actioning across a broad remit of digital and ICT areas.
- Ensure availability of compliance information to accountable parties regarding relevant Queensland Government legislation and directives.
- Spearhead the OIR Information Security Management System (ISMS) implementation, ensuring compliance with Queensland Government regulations.
- Develop and maintain relevant risk policies and standards to ensure robust risk management practices within OIR.
- Provide written advice, briefs, submissions, presentations, reports, and information papers to influence the development and adoption of sound digital and ICT governance, risk management, and assurance processes across OIR.

- **Mandatory Qualifications or Conditions**:
While there are no mandatory conditions or qualifications for this role, qualifications in information security, information technology, software engineering, computer science or a related field are highly desirable.You will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
As our Cybersecurity Risk Officer, you will be expected to work autonomously, provide cybersecurity risk leadership, and contribute to a small dynamic team.
