At Evans and McMahon Optometrists, we are committed to delivering comprehensive eye care to our community across Canberra City and Tuggeranong. As total care optometry practices, we specialize in;
- Comprehensive eye examinations
- Prescribing spectacles and fitting contact lenses including ortho-k
- Diagnosing eye diseases and referring patients to specialist care when required

We offer complete spectacle services, including an onsite lab for convenience, a wide range of frames and sunglasses and a full line of prescription lenses. We also dispense all types of contact lenses, including disposables and flexible wear lenses, catering to patients with unique needs.
National Optical Care, are a community of optometry practices that are passionate about empowering eye care excellence. We recently merged with George and Matilda, leveraging the combined expertise of our practice community with strong supplier relationships to deliver the very best in patient care, creating opportunities for career development.
**Description**:
About the Role
As an Optical Dispenser, you will work across both practices in Canberra City and Tuggeranong, delivering high quality service and care. Your responsibilities include;
- Assisting patients in selecting the perfect frames and lenses to suit their needs
- Interpreting prescriptions and offering expert advice on lens and frame options
- Adjusting and repairing frames to ensure optimal fit and comfort
- Managing spectacle orders and maintaining patient records
- Collaborating with our optometrists and dispensing team to provide a seamless patient experience

What We’re Looking For
- Experienced as an Optical Dispenser or in a similar role (certification preferred but not essential)
- Knowledgeable about lens technologies, frame styles, and optical trends or investment to learn
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service
- Flexible and willing to work across both practice locations
