- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About the role**
- Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a Visiting Medical Officers (VMO) in Paediatrics and/or Adolescent Medicine to join our new medical eating disorder team. The majority of the patients will be paediatric, there will be scope to see young people with eating disorders up to the age of 25. You will be working closely with the established Mental Health Eating Disorder Service, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, local GPs, Hospital In The Home and inpatients teams (primarily Paediatrics). The role is a mix of outpatient and inpatient support.- To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following:
- Basic Medical degree, registrable with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and/or Adolescent Medicine)- Experience working with young people with Eating Disorders
- Ability to participate in the after-hours on-call roster Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams**About the culture**
