**Seeking Exceptional Consultant - Medical Obstetrics for Rewarding Part-Time Role with SALHN**

As the Medical Obstetric Physician Consultant, you will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department patients, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.

**About the role**:
As the Consultant Medical Obstetrics, some of your duties may involve:

- Providing clinical services at the highest possible standard to the Obstetrics Department patients.
- Actively becoming involved in teaching medical students and trainee medical officers and, where appropriate, Nursing and Allied Health staff.
- Participating in clinical audit and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration (FRACP) or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
- Experience in the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
- extensive clinical experience relevant to work in Obstetric Medicine.
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Medical Obstetrics.
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of professional judgement and medical competence in a multidisciplinary setting and respect for the rights and responsibilities of patients and their families.
