Sydney, Australia mx51 Full time

Associate Product Manager

mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers. We are building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app and online, whilst consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.

We're seeking an Associate Product Manager with a strong background in business analysis, particularly within the payments industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who excels as a business analyst and is looking to step into a product management role. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mx51 by transforming complex challenges into strategic opportunities, driving the success of our products. In return, you'll receive mentorship from senior product managers, enabling you to hone and develop your product management skills and knowledge.

In this role, you will perform traditional business analyst tasks while also growing and refining your skills as a product manager. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to define product vision and strategy, engage with clients to gather payment-related requirements, and contribute to the development of product roadmaps. Your work will directly impact our ability to exceed client expectations and maintain our position in the payments-as-a-service sector.

If this resonates with you, the opportunity to receive this level of training and development that we're offering is rare in the market

**Sounds interesting? Here are some things you will do**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and strategy, leveraging your deep understanding of the payments landscape.
- Engage with clients to uncover and define payment-related requirements for product deployments, including leading workshops.
- Develop and manage comprehensive business analysis documentation, spanning documents, diagrams, flows, and dictionaries, that articulate technical and payments-specific requirements.
- Develop and refine user stories and acceptance criteria based on business and product requirements gathered during workshops or supplied by stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams, ensuring a two-way flow of critical information and updates on product enhancements.
- Contribute to and eventually lead the development of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company goals and client needs.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, using insights to inform product decisions.

**What you will bring**:

- Solid experience as a business analyst**, **with a significant focus on the payments industry whether that's working for a fintech or in financial service.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in product management, with a desire to grow and develop in this field.
- Proven ability to conduct workshops and engage both clients and internal teams effectively.
- Strong skills in creating detailed business analysis documentation, particularly in payment systems and processes.
- Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage workloads and contribute to project planning.
- Sound knowledge of Jira, including the creation of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

**What we offer**

You will be joining an incredible team who are committed to our vision and company values. Our innovative culture gives you opportunities to make real contributions that will shape the future of the business. In addition to a fun and flexible work environment, we also offer:

- Work from overseas up to 4 weeks per year
- Flexible work practices and tools to help you set up your remote workstation
- Access to co-working facilities across 3 states
- Annual team offsite
- Social events run by our social committee
- Swap a public holiday and take an alternative day off
- Paid leave for volunteering
- Paid parental leave for primary and secondary carers
- Novated lease and salary sacrifice options

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for this role without bias to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability or age.
