**About Northern Beaches Hospital**
Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.
Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area. It was thoughtfully designed to optimise patient safety and overall experience, and to provide meaningful management and operational efficiencies that benefit everyone.

**About the Role**
Northern Beaches Maternity has a large team providing diverse services across public and private maternity care. As a casual AIM you will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, and demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes.

**_ **NBH will also offer the opportunity for ongoing employment into our graduate program._**
- Work in partnership with women, VMO’s and other maternity care providers to ensure collaborative centred maternity care
- Provide direct care to women and their families within the AIM scope of practice and level of experience
- Will ensure women are supported through all phases of pregnancy, labour and birth and the postnatal period
- Assessing patients using therapeutic skills
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

To be successful:

- Successful completion of Year 1 of Bachelor of Midwifery
- Current enrolment and ongoing progress in the Bachelor of Midwifery course with a satisfactory academic record maintained.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to manage shift work (including, day & night shifts) over 7 days

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives’ - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary ranging from $24.37 - $26.75 per hour.
