Entry Level Product Designer

We are on the lookout for a Junior Product Designer with great communication skills to assist with a variety of UX UI design tasks as well as visual and written communication activities.

About the role:

- You will be working on a variety of design and communication tasks including:

- Assisting in the UX UI design of websites, web apps and mobile apps
- Assisting with communications and documentation eg. internal and external documents related to process documents and design course material
- You will be working 2-4 days a week from the Sydney co-working space alongside a lead UX UI designer
- You will be part of a small team and be required to take ownership over various design and communication tasks
- You will be working on various UX artefacts including research decks, information architecture, wireframes and prototypes
- You will be contributing to visual and UI design tasks in Figma

About you:

- You are in your final year or have recently graduated from a design, visual comm, management or marketing comm institute whether university, design centre, general assembly, academy xi or similar
- You are available 2-4 days a week. Days of week and hours per week are negotiable depending on your availability and skill level.
- You have in-depth knowledge of the end to end product design process
- You have experience with user research and competitor research
- You have experience with UX design responsibilities such as creating information architecture and lo-fi wireframes
- You have experience presenting ideas and using research to support your claims
- You have hands on ability in designing graphics, user interfaces and websites
- You are an Australian resident and are available to work from our Sydney based co-working office 2-4 days a week
- You are eager to learn and improve in multiple areas of design and communications including UX, UI, research, digital design, web design and more
- You are a motivated self starter who feels comfortable taking ownership over projects
- You have skills in experience with Figma, Fig-jam and have used or created design systems.
- You have strong written communication skills and enjoy writing
- Webflow skills are a plus

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Subcontract
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
