**THE ROLE**

Our national client is currently looking for an experienced Emergency Services Officer to join their Health and Safety team to assist with the development of their Underground Mine

The role will be offered on permanent position working an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth

You will be responsible for ensuring the development and training of their current Emergency Response Team (ERT) on site.

Reporting to the OHS Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Execution of training procedures
- Training and Supervision for the volunteer Emergency Response Team
- Maintenance of equipment availability through regular inspections and service schedules,
- Perform refresher fire and appliance to the site workgroups
- Conducting statutory and non-statutory inspections on emergency equipment;
- Provide the ERC with monthly activity report;
**YOUR EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will also have the following:

- Certificate III in Mines Emergency Response & Rescue and/or Public Safety - Fire Fighting;
- Certificate IV in Health Care qualification and Authorised FFW Tester;
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (TAE40116);
- Competency in Closed Circuit Regenerative Breathing Apparatus - BG4, Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus, Fire suppression, Hazmat, Rope Rescue, Vehicle extrication, Confined Space Rescue, Wildfire and Aviation.
- HR driver’s License
- Investigation skills - ICAM (Desirable);
- Ability to work well under pressure and achieve target objectives in a timely manner
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last three months.
