Science Laboratory Technician Assistant

**THE POSITION**

The Science Laboratory Technician Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency and proper functioning of the science laboratories. This includes managing lab procedures, assisting in practical classes, handling and storing chemicals safely, maintain lab equipment and supporting the science faculty through the integration of new technologies.

**ABOUT YOU**

**Essential**
- Experienced and passionate science enthusiast with a strong understanding of fundamental scientific principals and laboratory practices
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven time management skills and an exceptional approach to proactivity
- Able to confidently and assist young people in the safe use of equipment
- Problem solving skills

**Desirable**
- Experience working in a school setting or with young people

Classification for the role is ESS Category B Level 2 in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.
