In many of our locations, we offer team members: - Competitive compensation and recognition - Hybrid work environment and flexible approach to work - Retirement and financial savings options - Well-being and mental health support - Parental leave - Physical well-being initiatives and health insurance plans - Professional development opportunities - Volunteer opportunities **The Role**: The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the credit granted to customers and ensuring that invoices due are collected on time and bad debt write-offs are minimized. **Responsibilities**: - Overall responsibility for the AU Trade Debtors Ledger - Accurate and timely delivery of monthly credit control reporting requirements - Obtain commercial credit reports for new customers and recommend credit limits based on their credit risk evaluation - Ensure PPSR requirements are met including lodgment, discharge and regular review - Allocation of EFT payments and cheque deposits - Ensure claims deducted by customers from remittances are properly supported and authorized. Follow-up regularly with sales staff on any unsupported claims - Collection follow-ups ensuring that overdues are minimized. Liaise and escalate to Sales/Account Managers problematic accounts - Refer and coordinate with collection agencies accounts that Sales failed to collect or those accounts that declared bankruptcies - Liaise with Customer Service to ensure timely processing of Customer credit claims that are deducted from remittance. - Customer statements and major accounts reconciliation - Regular review of overdue debtors - ensure strong DSO/Aged debt performance and mínimal bad and doubtful debt - Review accounts on credit hold and release new orders - Manage Customer Master in ERP system - Month-End Reporting on Debtors Ledger - Other duties as required **Key performance indicators/KPIs**: - Timely collection of customer accounts - Credit Management - Accurate and up to date PPS Registrations **Qualifications**: **Essential**: - Knowledge and work experience on Credit Management - Knowledge about legal options to collect bad accounts - Knowledge of commercial laws - Patience and persistence in following up overdue accounts - Experience working with PPSR - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Organized with high attention to detail - Experienced in MS Excel **Desirable**: - Finance Qualification - Experience in JDE LI-MB1 BIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
