Band 5 Policy and Project Officer based in the Hobart CBD within the State Government’s Education Sector

**Your new company**
Based in the Hobart CBD, this position sits within the Tasmanian Education Sector, one of the largest departments of all Tasmanian Government agencies. This is a six-month contract with the possibility of extension.

**Your new role**
Our client is looking Band 5 Project and Policy Officers to support the Strategy and Performance Division to facilitate significant organisational change by driving strategic initiatives and leading stakeholder engagement. They will also carry out the following duties:

- Research and analyse policy issues and contribute to solutions, proposals and recommendations
- Draft a range of written communication including Ministerial correspondence, reports, briefing notes, project plans and communications material
- Assist with the planning and delivery of policies, projects and initiatives that involve liaison, coordination and collaboration with other team members and internal and external stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful, you will demonstrate the following abilities and qualifications:

- Demonstrate policy and project knowledge and experience
- Sound research and analytical skills
- Good written communication skills to enable the production of a range of documents that are suitable for a range of audiences and purposes
- The ability to use a range of technological platforms
- High level interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Working knowledge of the Public Sector system
- A valid WWVP is essential
