As part of **Ventia's **ongoing contract with the Department of Justice, we have a fantastic opportunity to register for one of our upcoming **Custody Officer Assessment centres** where you will participate in a fitness assessment and interview all on the same day- The upcoming sessions we have on offer are on the following Saturday's**:31st August, 7th September & 14th September** (Starting at 9am).**Why Join Us?**

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Safely transport and supervise detainees during critical activities
- Participating in court activities and ensure safety requirements are met
- Manage conflicts and communicate empathetically, positively impacting the lives of detainees
- Maintain a professional, fair, and open-minded approach towards detainees
- Provide safety and security for detainees, staff and the public
- Conduct walking and mobile patrols of designated areas
- Supervise detainees, escort them to appointments or court appearances, and maintain accurate records
**What to expect at our Assessment Sessions**:
- Presentation about the crucial role of a Custody Officer on the CS&CS contract
- Fitness assessment, including:
- Beep test (minimum standard: 4.1)
- Illinois Agility Test
- Dead ball lift over the shoulder
- Incident reporting
- Formal interview
**Requirements**:
- Availability for full-time training for 6 weeks in Perth (Fully Funded)
- Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications
- Australian/NZ Citizen or permanent resident
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test
