**Neurology Fellow**

12 Months Fixed term Part Time position at 51.6 hours per fortnight commencing 3rd February 2025.

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

**Unit Description**:
The RMH Neurology and Comprehensive Stroke Centre is one of Australia’s busiest clinical units. The Neurology service offers a full range of inpatient, ambulatory care and outpatient services and a busy clinical trials and research unit. In addition to the comprehensive stroke centre, there is dedicated video-EEG monitoring unit, specialist service for patients with multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory conditions, including a day procedure unit with infusion services, movement disorders including deep brain stimulation, neuromuscular conditions including neurophysiology, dementia and neuro-ophthalmology. We serve as a tertiary referral service for most of the state.

**About the role**:

- Attend weekly Cognitive clinics
- Participate in dementia research clinical trials
- Attend cognitive and departmental research meetings

**About You**:

- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
