**Neurology Neurophysiology Clinical Fellow**

**This is a 12-month Par Time Fixed Term position at 68 hours per fortnight commencing 2nd February 2026.**

Position Description

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

**Unit Description**:
The Clinical Neurophysiology Unit at RMH performs routine and complex nerve conduction studies and EMG (including Single Fibre EMG), visual, auditory and somatosensory evoked potentials, routine and prolonged EEG. In conjunction with the Epilepsy Unit we perform, video telemetry (4 inpatient beds) and intracranial EEG recordings. A new MND clinical and research service will be conducting advanced central and peripheral neurophysiology studies including cortical and axonal excitability and motor unit number estimation (MUNE). The unit is dedicated to clinically relevant research.

**About the role**:

- Play a key role in the coordination of patient care in neurophysiology
- Participate in weekly Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular & Botulinum toxin clinics
- Participation in EMG including specialised EMG techniques
- Attendance of weekly research and departmental meetings

**Ab About You**:

- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications - MBBS or equivalent, and have trained and completed core years of Neurology training (or local equivalent)
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
