**About the Role**
A Delish Affair is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic **Catering/Food Services Attendant** to join our patient catering team at a Private Hospital in Kingswood. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, committed to delivering exceptional, patient-focused food services, including buffet-style dining for patients. You will need to be mindful of any dietary requirements or special requests that patients may have. This is a patient-facing role, requiring excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail. After service is complete, ensuring the dining area is clean and prepared for the next meal service will be essential.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Food Service**: Serve meals to patients in a buffet-style dining area, paying close attention to dietary requirements and special requests. Ensure portion control, presentation standards, and timeliness.
- **Dietary Management**: Work closely with dietitians and chefs to accommodate special dietary needs, allergies, and food preferences, ensuring accurate communication and adherence to these requirements.
- **Customer Service**: Interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring clear communication of meal options, addressing any concerns, and providing exceptional service.
- **Hygiene and Cleanliness**: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in both food preparation and the dining area. After service, ensure all tables are wiped down, utensils are returned to their proper place, and the dining area is reset for the next service.
- **Meal Delivery Assistance**: Assist in the delivery of meals to patients' rooms when necessary, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hospital protocols.
- **Supporting Kitchen Staff**: Provide support to kitchen staff and chefs during busy periods, helping with food preparation, cleaning, and other related tasks.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, meal delivery times, and any dietary adjustments, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in food service, particularly within healthcare or aged care settings, will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene practices and cleanliness standards.
- Attention to detail in managing dietary requirements and special patient requests.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service with excellent communication skills.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Excellent personal presentation and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility in shift availability, including weekends and public holidays.
