Design Assistant Champion
We are looking for a Design Assistant to join our fun and fast-paced Champion Design team. The role has a major focus on shape development, graphics and colour, with the team developing a lot of new shapes across the ranges, so you must come with an understanding of how a garment comes together. We also need you to come with a genuine love for streetwear: you know what's happening the market, who our competitors are and what they're doing, and you understand the influence and reach of Champion, both locally and globally.
As Design Assistant you will support the Designer in executing new season product ranges in line with our timelines. The role can be heavily systems and admin based, however you will have the opportunity to design exciting new ranges for the Aussie market and be part of the team taking Champion to the next level.

Your new role as a Design Assistant at Champion..
- Daily use of our PLM system and the Adobe programs.
- Assist with seasonal colour, graphics and têxtile print developments.
- Prepare work requests for new style prototypes, development packs and Tech Data sheets
- Liaise with garment technicians on work requests and follow up on sample developments
- Complete small design projects under the guidance of your Manager
- Use creative forecast services, magazines, colour authorities, websites and market analysis to assist in providing information for trend directions, story boards and project work
- Collaborate and develop strong relationships with cross functional teams
- Prepare quality presentations and sales tools for internal range showings, sales conferences, retail range showings

What experience you can bring to us?
- A degree in fashion/têxtile design or similar
- An innovative and creative approach to design
- Intermediate level experience in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite essential
- Inspirational team player capability
- Experience across either fashion, home or lifestyle product
- Previous exposure to PLM system (preferred)
- Innovative and creative approach to design with the Champion brand in mind
