Venue Supervisor

Monash Club is looking for an experienced Venue Supervisor to join the team.

Monash Club is a staff and alumni club on Monash University Campus in Clayton. The Monash Club has a lounge area, a restaurant, two meeting rooms and a private dining room. Each space can be transformed as per guests' liking.

As the Venue Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily efficient running of Monash Club. Managing multiple event spaces while ensuring the lounge and an a la carte restaurant are still receiving great service. This is a hands on role where you will be on the floor working directly with our customers and being a leading example for the team.

You will work closely with both the Monash Club Supervisor and venue staff to ensure that our client's expectations are exceeded at all times in terms of customer service, as well as setting an exemplary example as a senior member of staff.

Skills and experience desired:

- Two years experience in a similar role
- Ability to supervise discounts, end-of-day close, cash handling
- Ability to increase sales and establish return business to ensure continued business growth
- Multitask and handle multiple service areas
- Create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of personal, staff, and venue presentation
- Diverse experience in planning and executing a variety of bookings from small meetings to large-scale events
- Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients
- Astute attention to detail in all areas
- Exceptionally high standards and a strong work ethic and a passion for continuous improvement
- RSA required

This position is a casual role with the hours dependant on what is required for the week.

We are open Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm except for when a night or weekend function is booked so you will need to be flexible to work shifts depending on what we have booked. This is a casual role where the hours will fluctuate between 30 - 38 depending on the time of the year.

The venue closes for up to 4 weeks from the end of December to end of January for the Christmas / New Year break. A great chance to spend time with your family and friends over Christmas.

Pay: $32.00 - $33.00 per hour
