**Your Opportunity**

The Tunnelling Business Unit (BU) is experiencing rapid growth and with an impressive pipeline of work, it is a great time to join a Tier 1 Contracting Company

This role will work with the BU and project SHEQ teams to implement and control Safety Management requirements, strategies and initiatives across our business.

Reporting to the BU SHEQ Manager, the **Safety Advisor **will sit within the Tunnelling BU’s Safety Team and be accountable for:

- Supporting the BU SHEQ Manager with Safety and Quality Administration
- Assisting in the development of health & safety standards and processes to ensure that projects are complying with regulatory and governance requirements
- Reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) in line with legislative requirements
- Conducting site inspections, reviews, and audits across our projects
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of corrective actions

**Our minimum requirements for this role are**:

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in WHS, OHS or equivalent
- Previous site-based experience as a safety professional on a major construction/civil infrastructure project
- Strong understanding of State and Federal Construction Safety and Environmental legislations
- Demonstrates experience with Safety and Environmental Management System implementations
