**Our opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a casual **Storeperson**to work within our**team at the Calvary Mater Hospital, located in Waratah, Newcastle NSW. Reporting to the Materials Manager this position requires a storeperson who at the completion of their training is responsible for the warehousing and storage of goods in a safe manner and in accordance with supply and demand. The role requires a pro-active approach to safety and adherence to our Safety Culture behaviours.

This role would receive shifts that are across the span of hours **Monday to Friday** **6:30am-3:00pm.**

This role pays a competitive casual rate of pay.

**Key responsibilities will also include**:

- Receive, process and dispatch goods
- Monitor stock levels including, receiving and unloading stock
- Picking orders of stock and delivering to the relevant team within the hospital
- Record incoming and outgoing of goods
- Safely operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Clean premises and equipment
- Adhere to health, safety and security procedures
- Other duties as requested

**To be successful in the role you will need**:

- To be physical fit and reliable
- Hard working with capacity to fulfil lifting requirements of the position
- Have strong administrative and communication skills
- An ability to work as part of a team but also autonomously
- A flexible approach and attitude towards work
