**The Role**
Our Port Melbourne site is not only the home of Vegemite it is also the home of other Australian iconic products, such as Bega Peanut Butter, Bega Simply Nuts, Zoosh dressings and dips. VEGEMITE has been proudly made in Port Melbourne, Australia since 1923.
- **Quality & Environment**to join the Bega Foods business unit based at our Port Melbourne site in Victoria, known to be the home of iconic brands such as Vegemite and Peanut Butter.
The purpose of role to is to lead the QMS and Environmental program at the Port Melbourne Site, leading a team of Quality Specialists, you will be accountable for the quality culture, food safety, and compliance programs governing the raw materials and associated products manufactured at the site.
This role forms an integral part of the Port Melbourne Leadership Team; the position aims to drive continuous improvement across hygiene, environmental monitoring, and GMP programs, while using streamlined quality data and process control systems to ensure the site is consistently audit-ready.
**Responsibilities**
- Champion food safety excellence by driving QMS performance and embedding a strong quality culture.
- Lead cross-site food safety through HACCP, compliance.
- Inspire and grow talent by coaching a high-performing team of Quality Specialists.
- Elevate performance by improving KPIs, corrective actions, and customer outcomes.
- Guide change with influence by partnering with production and technical teams on quality matters.
**About you**
- Experience as a Quality Manager or Supervisor within a food manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of BRC, ISO, WQA, AQIS, HACCP and GMP
- Influencing and coaching skills
- A demonstrated safety focus
- Strong team ethic with ability to build collaborative relationships
- Ability to navigate change and crush complexity
