**Position Objective**

The Maintenance Assistants goal is to ensure the appearance and safety of the grounds and units are of a high standard. They are responsible for the efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, fire systems, kitchen equipment, audio and visual, laundry, internal and external lighting, plant and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Specific_
- Ensure all public area facilities are open on time, professionally presented and functioning ready for guests’ use.
- Offers information and assistance in a friendly manner regarding the Property, the local area and maintenance tasks to be completed if requested by a guest or Team Member. Completes maintenance of units in a timely manner to maximise client satisfaction.
- Seeks to implement procedures to assist in improving the efficiency of repairs and maintenance to maintain acceptable costs.
- Supervises safety and security measures in accordance with all applicable laws. Ensures all repairs and maintenance, and public areas are professionally presented. Maintains functioning of fire detection equipment. Records the costs of repairs done by maintenance personnel and contractors accurately.
- Plans regular maintenance and up-keep of all equipment and keeps accurate records as per the relevant legislation. Prioritises tasks according to urgency and importance. Orders stock in a timely manner where applicable. Changes security codes in lifts and car park/s frequently to avoid intruders if applicable.
- Cleaning, (pool, toilets, bbq area, bins, vacuuming, sweeping, gutters, windows, mopping, dusting).
- Gardening (weeking, sand and maintenance, hedges, trimmnig, mowing lawns).
- Maintenance (repairs, painting/patching, pool - chemicals & filters & pumps, leaks, locks furniture).
- Generic_
- Ensure that all information is kept confidential, unless otherwise advised.
- Ensure that all Occupational Health and Safety requirements for the company are met within your department. Report any workplace hazards as you see them and support the company in its endeavour to provide a safe workplace.
- Represent the company in a positive manner expounding the values, ethics and pride at all times.
- Complete to the best of your ability any additional tasks within reason as provided by your immediate manager or their delegate.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: $29.00 - $41.00 per hour
