**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Allied Health** team as a** Allied Health Assistant: Occupational Therapy, **where you will be responsible for:

- Day to day service provision to support patient care activities for inpatients, outpatients and outreach services of the hospital
- Direct patient care under the supervision of Allied Health professionals
- The safe and effective supervision of patients within the outpatient clinics including Hand Therapy and Burns/Scar Management.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, or be enrolled and working towards this certificate
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Initiative in carrying out routine tasks without direction and to report issues requiring attention.
- Physical strength, flexibility and endurance sufficient for manual handling of patients and equipment.
- Experience in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional
