We are seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant individual to take on a permanent part-time role as a Dental Assistant within our expanding team at Morphett St Family Dental.

We are an Adelaide Hills based modern dental practice that pride ourselves on high quality patient care and communication to ensure our patients feel just like family. We believe in conservative dentistry and are focused on the long term needs of our patients. We have a preventative approach to dental treatment wherever possible.

The position will be a part-time role averaged at 3-4 days per week; at a minimum of 24 hours per week. The successful applicant will have the option to complete a traineeship where you will obtain a Certificate lll in Dental Assisting with TAFE SA.

The position is ideal for an individual who is seeking a start or change in the dental industry. The successful applicant must:

- Be punctual, reliable and show initiative when needed
- Have a can-do attitude positive with the ability to work effectively and efficiently
- Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Be organised with great attention to detail
- Have knowledge in computer-based software
- Chairside assistance in all aspects of general dentistry
- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments
- Provide support for patient care goals and educate patients in dental health issues
- Greeting and welcoming patients
- Prepare patients and facilities for dental treatment
- Clean and prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols
- Maintain an appropriate level of supplies in treatment and sterilisation room
- Assisting and providing in administration support to the front office as required
- Use of EXACT dental software
- Monitoring and re-stocking surgery supplies
