One Tree Community Services is a national not-for-profit organisation. Our purpose is to
- ‘Transform challenges into possibilities with people and communities’_. Our work takes us to remote communities where children experience third world living conditions. It also has us supporting workplaces and people (particularly children) that encounter unique challenges.

Working at One Tree you need determination and an ability to ‘think and work outside the box’. Your first job will be to get our policies and associated documents up to date. Next, we want them transformed into easy to understand documents suitable for a broad audience.

At One Tree you will work with motivated and inspiring people, many of whom have been with us for a long time. Additional to the salary you will receive:

- Up to six weeks paid leave (including four weeks annual leave).
- Ability to work from home three days a week (with two days in the office).
- Additional length of service benefits.

You will need:

- A related tertiary qualification with experience or a minimum of five years’ experience as a policy writer.
- Ability to write a range of documents.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to write using Plain English principles.
- A willingness to work in accordance with One Tree’s spirit, purpose and values.

It would be preferred if you also had:

- Knowledge of the early childhood sector and/or the not for profit industry.
- Knowledge of working in an accredited International Standards Organisation.
- Understanding of working in a highly regulated industry.
