Financial Analyst - Sydney, Australia (work from home if preferred)

Convera serves more than 30,000 customers ranging from small business owners to enterprise treasurers to educational institutions to financial institutions to law firms to NGOs.

Main duties will include:

- Assisting with the Month End close process including calculation of service fees for all APAC entities, review of cost base to identify variances and advise GL accounting team as required, review of AP GL reports to identify any costs that need accruing.
- Calculation of monthly FI rebates and preparation of invoices
- Calculation of monthly Referral Fees for Channel Partners
- Assisting with the calculation of quarterly sales commission for GTM staff
- Preparation of monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
- Preparation of monthly Travel and Entertainment reports and tracking of costs against budget
- Assisting with the annual budgeting/forecasting process including analysis of prior year trends to accurately forecast future year costs.
- Assisting with the submission of tax returns
- Ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Contribute to projects as required
- Work from home or from our Sydney CBD office, or a combination. We are flexible.

You will ideally have:

- A bachelor’s degree in BA, Accounting, Finance, Math’s (or similar)
- 2+ year’s experience working in a finance department, preferably in a global financial services organization or another fintech
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter, who is able to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
- Intermediate excel skills - (pivot tables, vlookups)
