**About the Role**:
We are seeking a
**Delivery Lead** to join our EWIS team supporting our Major Service Provider (MSP) contract with the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) in our Canberra operations. As a Delivery Lead you will be regularly on-site and will act as the interface point between personnel working on EWIS projects, client managers and the EWIS Delivery Manager.
You will be responsible for the effective project management, client management, personnel management, and delivery of services provided within the Integrated Work Package (IWP), supported by Team Nova and within the scope defined by the IWP Delivery Manager. This role will enable you to further develop your business, project and service delivery management skills.
**What you will be involved in**:
- Understand and manage risks/ issues related to administration of Nova contracts into Defence
- Bid for funding requirements each FY to ensure work forecasted can be achieved. Manage allocated budgets in accordance with approved plans and allocated monthly phasings, including monthly reporting via authorised systems
- Understand and administer contractual arrangements which may include coordination of Contract Change Proposals (CCP), correspondence, invoicing, deliverables, schedules, performance management (KPIs/SHIs/OPMs), dispute resolution and contract payments and invoicing
- Manage the delivery of tasks/services/outcomes as required by the contract
- Identify, develop, execute, and optimise new and follow-on business from the client
- Professional & Personnel management of Nova Staff within your allocated delivery team, and in accordance with Nova policies and procedures
- Represent both Team Nova and Nova in Client forums and other forums
- Maintain a pro-active relationship with the client directors, project managers, sustainment managers, and other EWIS stakeholders
- Maintain a pro-active relationship with Team Nova Partners and Subcontractor Network In collaboration with the Delivery Manager, support delivery team financial and performance forecasting, as well as reporting achievements, risks and opportunities/issues to the portfolio manager and the wider team as required
- Support the Delivery Manager in implementing continuous improvement in service delivery
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project management, risk management and budget management
- Ability to draft decision briefs and minutes as required
**What we would expect from you**:
- Significant Project Management experience across complex Defence projects
- An understanding of the Defence Capability Life Cycle
- Familiar with the Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suite of tendering and contracting templates
- Understanding & practical experience working within a Defence project, quality assurance & business improvement process practices and targeted & effective business solutions and outcomes
- Able to identify risks and opportunities and take account of these in planning, decision making and priority setting
- Ability to sustain effective relationships with stakeholders, including Capability Managers, contractors/suppliers and end users. The ability to communicate with influence and negotiate effectively is key
- Able to actively lead group activities
- Able to take the initiative to resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications
- Accountable to manage a range of activities and coordinate input in accordance with organisational and SPO practices, methods and standards appropriate to the complexity of the activity
- Ability to prepare correspondence, decision briefs, minutes and reports as required for higher consideration
- Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks
