Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with over 1,700 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

We are seeking the services of a dedicated **Canteen Assistant** to join the team at our Pakenham campus. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment by providing assistance to the Canteen Operator in delivering a friendly and efficient canteen service at the campus.

Some key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the Canteen Operator with the provision of a friendly service to students and staff members attending the canteen
- Assisting with the preparation of food for sale through the canteen in accordance with the school’s food safety standards
- Being available to operate the canteen as necessary
- Cleaning and organising the canteen and equipment as may be required
- Assisting with canteen money management in accordance with school policy
- Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
- Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen management (desirable)
- Ability to relate to students and staff members in a caring, friendly and helpful manner.
