Your new role
sits in the Commercial team (within the Industry Investment and Commercial Division) that provide financial and commercial advice to the Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment and Government to ensure the achievement of government priorities and objectives.
In the role as Commercial Analyst, you draw upon your financial and commercial experience in conjunction with your transaction management to undertake financial and commercial analysis to provide advice in the context of public infrastructure and commercial projects.
**In this role, you will**:

- Participate in diverse projects and work teams to provide financial and commercial insights.
- Offer high-level advice to government and stakeholders on complex commercial issues.
- Analyse risks and options for major projects, property transactions, and government services.
- Develop solutions that align with the State's economic and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, submissions, presentations, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with other analysts across Treasury to deliver whole-of-treasury advice.
- Represent Treasury in meetings, committees, and working groups

**What experience you will bring**:

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience in financial and commercial analysis.
- Relevant financial and commercial qualifications.
- Ability to prioritize work and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Whilst here are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant financial and commercial qualifications and experience in project and/or transaction management would be highly regarded.
