An exciting opportunity to join Austin Cancer Clinical Trials as an Ethics Coordinator. We are seeking a full-time applicant (40hours a week), however part-time may be considered on negotiation.
**About our Centre**
Austin Cancer Clinical Trials (CCTC) has a reputation of excellence with expertise in managing clinical trials from First-in-human Phase 1 to Phase 3. We have over 200 clinical trials in progress including Pharmaceutical Company sponsored, Collaborative Group and Investigator-initiated trials. All the specialised leading-edge cancer treatment and research conducted through the ONJ Centre is complemented by wellness programs to support patients in body, mind, and spirit.
**About the role**
**Responsibilities of this role**:
- Ethics and research governance submissions as part of the study start up team, and receipt of approvals/acknowledgements for all clinical research projects conducted across the unit.
- Working closely and effectively with Austin Departments and other applicable vendors, to ensure optimal workflow.
- Prepare ongoing amendment and essential documents processing as well as general ethics related correspondence in liaison with Investigators and Sponsors.
- Maintain the unit Master Ethics Tracker to assure oversight and transparency of all ethics related activities.
**Qualifications/Skills/Experience**
- Understanding of cancer/biology with appropriate tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in an administrative/life science field.
- Knowledge and experience in ethics and research governance submissions, receipt and optimal electronic repository of approvals/acknowledgements for clinical research projects.
- Proven ability to work independently and part of a team, adhering to tight deadlines, working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationship with internal and external parties.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail. Including high level of efficiency whilst maintaining accuracy.
