The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Research Ethics and Governance Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Coordinate the Human Research Ethics Committee and provide timely and high-level coordination, communication and administrative support
- Liaise with staff and researchers on technical and operational issues, interpret research policy and legislation
- Provide high level administrative and management support to stakeholders
- Deliver advice and support to researchers on resource and operational matters that are critical to the needs of the research study being undertaken
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the area including new developments, legislation and industry standards

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate (health science) discipline and demonstrated experience (clinical, health, research or ethics knowledge) would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time (6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $4 175.50 - $4 472.70 per fortnight

The office works in close collaboration with our workforce and external stakeholders in the region including Bond University, Griffith University, Southern Cross University, as well as national and international institutions. Based in Southport.
