**ABOUT THE ROLE**
TAFE NSW are seeking Casual Teachers of Metal Fabrication and Welding to deliver across the South Region. Delivering face-to-face practical classes at either the Tumut and/or Wagga Wagga Campus. The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports trade-based apprentices and mainstream students by constructing and guiding their learning experience.
We recognise that real experience is the most important aspect when appointing our teaching staff, we know that this experience, your creditability and your story will have a positive impact, to generate the passion needed by our students to see their qualification through.
This position is casual and has a pay rate of $84.69 per hour and the location can be negotiated. For full details about the position please review the Position Description and Information Pack.
**ABOUT YOU**
TAFE NSW focus on real-world practicality, by delivering interactive and industry relevant study that is present in the workplace. To ensure you have first-hand knowledge of everything you teach you must hold the relevant vocational education and have current experience in industry.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years relevant and post-qualification experience in the metal fabrication and welding industry relevant to your qualifications. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
