**Purpose of Position**

The Care Service Employee (Grade 1) is responsible for performing basic routine functions and duties within the residential aged care facility. The position is accountable and responsible in ensuring compliance with SCC policies and procedures, relevant standards, relevant legislation and accepted industry practices, including the Aged Care Quality Standards.

**Main Activities**

Carry out simple personal care tasks which shall include but not be limited to:

- Assistance withdaily living activities
- Assisting with showers or baths
- Shaving and cutting nails
- Lay out clothes and assist in dressing
- Make beds and tidy rooms
- Store clothes and clean wardrobes
- Assist with meals

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
Certificate 3 in aged care, disability or similar

**Experience & Skills**

**Essential**:

- **Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
- Ability to manage and prioritise work tasks in a timely manner
- Empathy for older and frail persons

**Salary**: $24.02 per hour

- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Young, NSW 2594: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

- Australia (required)
