The role

As part of the team, you will be responsible for:
Assisting residents with personal care including showering.
Supporting residents with meals.
Contributing to care planning with registered staff
Documenting care and services provided to residents
Engaging residents in meaningful activities

The role is classified as a Care Service Employee under the Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) Enterprise Agreement 2017-2020 and the base rate of pay ranges from $22.67 to $25.13 per hour (depending on experience) plus shifts and weekend penalties, superannuation and NFP benefits.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or willingness to attain)
Genuine enthusiasm, care, and compassion in your commitment to working with elderly people
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
A NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain) Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations
