**Role description**:
We are seeking two Lead Planners who would like to be part of our Project Management and Construction Management Services group located ideally in our Brisbane office.

The Lead Planners will play a key role in growing and developing our Project Planning and Controls capability and help us deliver major infrastructure and transformational programs across seaports, airports, rail and road.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Leading and developing the Project Controls and Planning capability in alignment with the Project Management and Construction Management Services Group Strategy;
- Coaching and mentoring our next generation of Planners with passion;
- Designing and implementing project control systems for our clients;
- Participating in the design, development and operationalisation of sustainable solutions;
- Providing planning, scheduling, project controls services to project teams located within Arcadis offices, and other locations as required;
- Ensuring that approved AAP Project Planning and Scheduling principles and methodologies are applied and implemented;
- Working closely and communicating effectively with all internal and external stakeholder to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters impacting and influencing projects;
- Participating and providing support to staff involved in project or integrated scheduling related reviews (e.g. Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), subcontractor validations and internal/external quality audits; and
- Assisting in the assessment, selection and management of suppliers, sub-consultants and contractors associated with projects and ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the project and implement mitigation strategies to manage slippage.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- A passion for planning and project controls;
- The ability to coach and mentor the next generation of Planners;
- The eagerness to innovate and develop smarter ways of working;
- Advanced user of Primavera;
- Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and the supporting the development of detailed schedules within major and complex programs of work, ideally within the engineering or infrastructure. Rail experience desirable;
- Experience developing and implementing fit-for-purpose project control systems;
- Strong communication skills as well as strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or at least ten plus years’ experience in planning complex and major programs
