We are currently looking for a **part-time Kitchen Assistant**position (3 days per week)

**The primary objective of the role**: A Kitchen Assistant provides support to the Chef. A Kitchen Assistant performs a variety of cooking duties, including preparing food, testing new recipes, cleaning the kitchen, plating dishes, and maintaining supplies. A Kitchen Assistant in this role should have excellent communication skills and a focus on prompt, efficient, and courteous service.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Certificate in Food Handling, Nutrition and Menu planning or equivalent
- Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate
- Clear understanding of the Food Safety Program.
- A current approved first aid qualification
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check
- Previous work experience as a Kitchen Assistant is strongly desired or preparation of

food for large groups.
- Good communication skills - positive and encouraging interpersonal skills
- Good people engagement skills and the ability to adapt to meet individual’s needs
