Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of PVC and PE piping to the construction, mining and building industries.

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Maintenance/Shift Electrician to join their team in Rocklea region, QLD.

In this role you will be responsible for the plastic extrusion machinery and equipment, ensuring it is operating safely and efficiently as well as maintaining it in a cost-effective way, taking into considerations cost and production schedules.

The position is a rotating 12-hour shift roster, 4 days on 4 days off (2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts).

**_Key duties and responsibilities:_**
- Maintain, repair and install electrical infrastructure for PVC Extrusion equipment.
- Ensure electrical compliance
- Resolution of issues in a timely manner
- Minimisation of ongoing breakdowns
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to help other trades persons
- Be Punctual and prepared to work overtime when required

**_Skills and experience:_**
- Trade qualified - Current Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence
- Minimum 2-3 years electrical trade experience in an industrial environment
- Instrumentation and or PLC experience
- Ideally exposure to the PVC and PE Pipe industry but not essential
- Outstanding attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
- Forklift & EWP tickets an advantage but not essential
- Must have current CPR and switchboard rescue competency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills within a collaborative team working environment
- Ensuring adherence to company EH&S polies and procedures

This is a fantastic opportunity with an attractive remuneration package which is negotiable based on your qualifications and experience. You must have an unrestricted Australian work permit.
