**Casual Opportunities - School of Biological Sciences**:
**The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET)** is a thriving centre of learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering and science schools and disciplines. The multidisciplinary hub develops future leaders, and actively partners with innovative industries to solve scientific problems of global significance. Many of its current academic staff are world leaders in their fields and graduates are highly regarded by employers.
Teaching and research in the School of Biological Sciences spans the scale and breadth of the living world - from molecules, genes and cells; organisms and their environments; to broad landscapes that cover Earth.
**We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, semester commencing Monday 21 July 2025.**
**Application Process**:
- Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
- Conferral of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to students
- Available and flexible to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course
- Able to work collegially to support excellent teaching within the School
- Are an Australian citizen or possess eligible Australian working visa*
- **Please note**: Prospective employees are required to provide evidence of their Australian citizenship or working rights.
- Consider the desired criteria:
- Conferral of a postgraduate degree in a relevant field
- Teaching qualifications or formal training
- Previous experience with casual work within the School
- Demonstrated ability to educate or mentor students
- Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
- Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators

**Please note that there are limited opportunities available.** The University may be required to change teaching modes on short notice. There may be restrictions on face-to-face interactions with students and staff and these possible conditions may change the casual teaching support required.
