**Job Scope**:
We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic **Technical Training Writer** (Certificate IV Training and Assessment) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing competency-based training to best support the certification of FLSmdith personnel through assessment. As the Training Specialist, you must research, develop, and produce technical training content and support material for training program participants and facilitators.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Responsible for researching, developing, and writing instructions for new, specialized, or complex equipment manufactured by FLSmidth.
- Advise and develop Training Needs Analyses and Units of competence for both machines and FLSmidth software to assist in the ongoing competency certification programs within Australia's FLSmidth site service business.
- Develop modularised training material for various equipment types according to the project. The material will include presentation materials, facilitator guides, assessments, and participant reference handbooks.
- Choose appropriate delivery methods, such as case studies or other activities, to incorporate into training content, best suit participant needs and learning ability and reinforce learning.
- Follow formal training and assessment processes to ensure material is developed following industry best practices.
- Arrange and coordinate seminars and webinars across Australia
- Travel to FLSmidth centers and customer sites within Australia to deliver on-site and internal training.
- Be prepared to abide by legislative, company, and customer COVID-19 travel and vaccination requirements.
**What you bring**:
- An active commitment to practicing and promoting safety is an integral part of the role
- Proven working experience in the relevant discipline.
- Deliver/facilitate classroom-based training and web-based training.
- Experience in developing online training material and electronic training media would be an advantage.
- Formal qualification in Training and Assessment (Certificate IV Training and Assessment) or similar training certification or the ability to obtain.
- Demonstrated competence in using industry-standard practices in the research and development of technical training content.
- Demonstrated capability in research, development, and delivery of training and assessment.
- Commit to active participation in continuous improvement activities for personal and team members.
- Work on several projects simultaneously and adapt to a changing work environment.
- A current driver's license.
- Good technical writing background with mechanical aptitude.
- Good levels of skill and experience in verbal and written communication.
